I can't speak for Texas but I knew a few places in Arizona when I worked there that those scenes would've played out exactly as depicted lol. I saw it today with my girlfriend today. I thought it was an excellent movie. IMO it had the same feel as "No Country for Old Men". The cast was great, the plot kept me entertained, and it was just the right time length. I know KestrelBike pointed out some of the finer points of the movie, but you have to go into it knowing it's just that.

As for me...I think the banks are outright crooks and will gladly steal the money off of your dead body if given the chance. They are corporate thieves and liars, the lot of them. But that's my feelings on it.

Now, I think it's on to Hacksaw Ridge.
