Despite my utter hate for any creature with those accents I actually thought it was a decent movie. The one thing that was a big let down was the total exclusion of his fights with Gatti. You're gonna make a movie about a guy who was involved in one of the best fight series in history but make no mention of it till the credits roll? Come on

Saw Battle: Los Angeles this weekend ... was a better than average alien invasion movie/war movie/marine recruiting film and I liked it (FU Roger Ebert ... you're a hack).

You get to see Marines kick alien ass ... and you get to see Santa Monica torn to pieces. Thats a win-win.

I watched the original La Femme Nikita (1990, french) the other day. I thought it was a pretty cool movie, with a lot of potential. Of course I have to subtract points for it having the second worst sound track of any movie I've ever seen (Interview with a Vampire is #1), and the terrible gun play, and the anticlimactic climax. However, besides those few detractors, I thought it was great in concept and can see why it has been remade so many times.

Now I'm most of the way through A Scanner Darkly. I like the way it was filmed, it makes the pointless scenes easier to watch. I also like that I just finished the book and I know a little bit more about what is supposed to be going on.

Also recently watched Ip Man, about the legendary Ip Man. I guess he was a Wing Chun master during WWII. Pretty great movie I thought; and apparently based on true events.

I hear that Red Cliff is a good Chinese movie as well, so that is next up. One thing China seems to be able to do right, is martial arts movies.

I recently watched Ip Man. I liked it a lot, and if I could get Hulu to show up at work, I'd watch it again today.

If there ever was a movie to watch, that made you NEVER want to touch drugs, it's Spun. WOW that movie is crazy. But well done, I liked it. My fiance had we watch it with her. Brittany Murphy always played a good crack whore on screen. Wonder why....

Ip Man is one of my favourite movies in the past few years. Still need to see the 2nd one...

Just finished watching the Russel Crow version of Robin Hood.

So confused about it...really took a lot of the awesome out of Robin Hood. Prince of Thieves and the Disney versions will always be the best IMO...

Atlas Shrugged, it's a limited release but if you can you should go and see it.

The movie that did that for me was Requiem for a Dream. T'was done by the same director who just did Black Swan, I believe...

Also, just watched Restrepo. Man, that was an intense movie.

Red Cliff (and The Warlords) was more of an epic Asian battle movie.

The Vanquisher is supposed to be a good Thai sword fighting movie.

I'll check it out. I could use some good sword fighting.

Oh and I only said martial arts movies because those are the only ones I've seen.
