Ah, thxs Driftwood. I didn't know the proper term or reasoning. When I was working the farm before the grandparents died, we (dad, brother and I) always wore our bandanas around our neck to help keep cool. Didn't know if the "hadji" served the same purpose.

That black SCAR at the top of this page looks nice... The only "weird" thing to me is that the 6 inches or so of barrel sticking out from the block don't look aethstically "pleasing"... but I guess a battle rifle is not supposed to look good huh? HA. Anyone have first hand experience with them? How do they run? Do anything better than a regular Ar15, etc?

Ah, so those are out? Thanks for the clarification. Thought it looked a little off, but I didn't know. Still, same questions are staged... Anything "better" (I know that's a subjective term) than a plain ol' ar-15?

About the rag thingy. I wear one. But it is so my delicate neck skin is not burned to a crisp by the hot Colorado Sun. I need to keep my pretty neck in tact so I won't appear inferior when seen by the spousal unit. (And I have this skin condition - seriously - that gets worse when I'm burned.) So for me its added protection that sunscreen doesn't give me. Don't know about cooler.

theyre nice, but in my opinion not worth the price tag for what you get. when they were originally going to come out they looked like not only way better than a regular ar15 but at a fair price. then bushmaster got a hold of them and the price went up and the benefits went down. still nice to have, but not amazingly better. of course you can probably say the same thing about almost every type of weapon and every type of accessory. it all depends on your point of view and what you like

Carol B rockin my 12" LaRue Tactical Stealth (complete LaRue Stealth upper on a SBR LaRue billet lower). This is the second class this gun has been through. Also used it in a 3 day SWAT Carbine Course with Dave Neth last year.
