    Default Benelli Super Nova

Anyone got one of these, any comments. Thinking about picking one up, for a first pump gun.

Excellent pump guns. I like them more than the old standby 870.

I think they are ok, but I have an issue with a gun that I cant change the stock on if something happens i like the, 870 for it ease of and flexablity i personly will never own a nova, But i also dislike any mossberg which alot seem to like but i have very bad issues with the 3 i had

What kind of issue's did you have with the mossberg. I have a 2 and love them. Surprisanly though I had a Bennelli M4 and Had a lot of failure to feed problems. I think it was just a fluke.

I had 3 pumps 2 12 ga and a 410 and i had the ejectors break and and firing pins break at low round count and is though they felt very cheaply made, I am a die hard 870 fan wish they made 10 ga 870 lol i liked my browning BPS but just not enough lol

I would love to have a 10 gauge tactical pump. I missed a sale on a 10 ga pump yesterday. I was big time disapointed

Nova is a great gun. Sorry, but it is far better made than modern 870s. Used you can pick them up for $300-375. I wouldn't pay more than $350 because if you wait, you can find one for that.

I do all my upland hunting with a 870. I don't care for the nova's. I have alot of friends who use them and it's hit or miss with having problems. Stick with simple and easy to take care of, I can have a 870 a part in under a minute.

What are you going to use it for? I have the tactical model and it shoots a playing card sized group at 50 yds, w/the hottest slug ammo that you can find.

Mossbergs shoot loose. I've picked up a million, almost, Mossbergs in pawn shops and the fore-ends are loose, they wobble front to rear, side to side and twist. They are also loose in other areas, but that is the worst. They just give me the idea that they are a piece of junk.

My Nova, I've only had it about 5 years. But, all I shoot in it are H-O-T slugs and BS and it seems just as tight as when I got it.
