I agree there are a LOT of riders who are cool about it, BUT the few who are dickheads ruin it. Too many times to count they hold up traffic on the road when the bike path is 6 feet to thier right. Those are the guys this grumpy old guy wants to bumper check. I never would, but I sure would like to.

Are there sidewalks or other places bicyclists can go? I don't even remember how many miles I biked from age 12 to 16, before I could drive.

I mean, if a bicycle can't get you from A to B in a town, and driving is a "privilege" rather than a right, then we're saying the government can keep you home unless you want to walk/bus/taxi?

I guess I never really cared too much for who was riding what where, but I do get upset when I pay my tag fees and then have to crawl at 8 mph behind some biker who has a right to be there, but is riding on the road my taxes paid for so I could go faster then the mininum speed limit.

I think they should have to get a tag, pay for road use and get tickets for ubstructing traffic.

I highly doubt it.

Cyclists may "annoy" you.

but the right to travel is just a RIGHT not a privelege, and cycling gives an a chance for people who don't want, or can't afford to subject themselves to government regulated "driving" a chance to get around.

Sure theres a whole lot of granola eating douchebags that abuse it,

but I don't think we should regulate activities around the douchebags.
