That is when I shift into a higher gear and let the Powerstroke smoke 'em out. They have to let the cloud clear so they can flip me off.

most cyclists are pretty respectful and stay on the side of the road, unless making a left turn...

I'd chill out with the grumpy old man vibe going on in here,

I rode a bike to school and work for three years after high school while I was to poor to afford a car.

I agree the douchebags who take up the entire road are idiots,

but most cyclists are pretty respectful of the road.

I agree there are a LOT of riders who are cool about it, BUT the few who are dickheads ruin it. Too many times to count they hold up traffic on the road when the bike path is 6 feet to thier right. Those are the guys this grumpy old guy wants to bumper check. I never would, but I sure would like to.

Who would be happy about such a curtailing of liberties?

Are there sidewalks or other places bicyclists can go? I don't even remember how many miles I biked from age 12 to 16, before I could drive.

I mean, if a bicycle can't get you from A to B in a town, and driving is a "privilege" rather than a right, then we're saying the government can keep you home unless you want to walk/bus/taxi?

Frankly I don't have a problem with cyclists.
Unless they are doing something stupid, I have no problem sharing the road.
Courtesy is an attribute of a true gentleman, I give them a wide berth.
Kids can learn to play nice together, why not grownups?

Yelling or throwing things at bikers is a cowardly thing to do.
On the road, remember the golden rule.
Unless the biker is doing something shitty on purpose, then fuck 'em.

I totally agree with the posts that say cyclists should have to pay reg fees and get a license to use the road like every other vehicle on the road. If they have the same rights and must follow the same rules, they should have to take a test and get a license like every motorist. They feel they are above that and they are special for whatever reason. “Oh, I ride my bike to work, I’m special” or “I’m helping the environment while staying fit.” No you’re not; you’re just a self promoting douche.

And to BuffCyclist…it maybe uncool to hurt someone but those guys were riding 4 wide. Had they been 1 wide like they should have been, they would have had room to move over and avoid being run off the road. A motorcycle can’t ride abreast in Colorado and neither can cyclists. One more case of cyclists breaking the law and one more case of cyclists being dipshits and endangering themselves by the way they choose to ride. If I were driving my little car all slow in the mountains on a narrow road (Not that I would ever drive slow, I laughed just writing that), and some huge big rig was bearing down on my back bumper, you bet your ass I would pull over to avoid him rear-ending me. See, I have this instinct called self preservation.

I can say that maybe 1 out of 100 cyclists I see actually follow the law. The 99 others run stop lights/signs, don’t go the minimum posted speed, ride abreast, don’t signal (of course it seems every turn signal in the state must be broken because cars don’t either, how hard is it to move your left finger 1 inch?) etc., etc. And by doing all of those things they are endangering themselves.

That said, those on here that are cyclists should put a picture of an AR15 on your back to avoid the beer bottles mentioned before.
