Sitting up in Central City, old antique shop just east of the Opera House on the corner, can't miss it (~15-20 old long guns in a bin as well). That price tag is a heavy hit but...the gal (nice but a complete ditz) tried to tell me it was $3K vs the $8K but...I think she was misinformed. There on consignment, fully legit/complete and one of the nicer units I've run acrosss...and it still works perfectly.

That's quite nice, but I couldn't see spending even 3k for one of those. That's awefully cool of you Cebeu to remember that Bailey is looking for one.

    Way cool!

The machine is gorgeous. Slightly outta my reach, though.

My pleasure to share the find fella's, thanks for the kind words. Not sure exactly why that was embedded in my small, innefective brain but...it stuck for some reason. As soon as I saw it the light bulb went off and I started thinking; "try to grossly overspend BGs money...go spend BGs money..."

It is a very nice unit and I'm not sure what the prevailing market rates are for those items but when I read the tag, 8 grand, my anatomy puckered-up as well. Still thought you should see it just-in-case. Ya' never know, could end up "dickering with the desperate" (again, on consignment) and ya' might walk-away with a steal.

I can't see much of anything at that link. Is it supposed to be going to a wiki link for the "SCP Foundation"?

When I was a kid the local Army Surplus store had one of those, ice cold Cokes for a nickle. The store owner always had a pocketful of nickles to buy kids Cokes with when they came in with a parent. Old Man Simpson knew all about customer service! He was a helluva guy. That old machine still ran great last time I saw it.

Somehow we (as a society) have gotten too cheap to remember the core values of customer service. Even a small token of appreciation will go a LONG way with customers. Sounds like Old Man Simpson knew what was important and how to take care of the customers.
