I dont know. Old lifted Fords look pretty good. This is the one that Blackford and I are building for my son. Not bad for a few weekends spent in the garage. I know an old ford can get through some hairy spots in the trails. I was with a guy once that wheelied all the way up a nasty hill in an old ford. I screamed like a little girl the whole way.

Was looking for a good thread to post some pics in, then stumbled across this one and realized it's my thread lol.

At any rate, went and broke the Tacoma's cherry today. VERY impressed with this rig considering it needs tires.

Did some exploring along Left hand canyon and hwy 72, and ended up at middle St. Vrain, only went a short distance there, because it was getting late, but once I get some tires I'd like to do the whole trail along with Coney flats.

Also, since the new baby won't be old enough to shoot for a few years, I'll likely be doing a lot more wheeling. I will use this thread to give you guys a heads up when I'm headed out, I'd love to have a few more rigs on the trail.

    Wow, dead thread resurrection.

All I can say about Sturving is...you're doing it wrong!

Was up on Hancock Pass a coupe of weekends ago. Reminiscing on the past. Did Iron Chest, Grizzly Lake, Pomeroy Lake and every thing else in the area. I was in a Suby. Got 50 yards up the road to Pomeroy Lake/Mary Murphy Mine and re-learned the art of backing up. Got a laugh out of those that aired down for the trip to St. Elmo.

A couple of beers and I'll tell ya the tail of Tomeche Pass.

This is an old picture, but it's still not driveable. The axle swap is done, but I need to finish off the brake system, and hook up the driveshafts. 1964 FJ40...

Wow, FJ40 definitely in my top 5, just above the double cab Tacoma lol. Very nice Toy daemon!

Eh I prefer to call it "sleeping thread" lol. Figure it's better to revive my thread rather than create a new post every time I do something fun.
