Oh come on Stuart, lighten up! I was kidding for Christ's sake. But the man DOES need to talk to a good lawyer, injured or not. Even if the other driver is (hopefully) fully insured, it might take some squeezing to get a fair settlement.This is just stupid. Insurance fraud is the main reason why insurance rates are higher than they need to be.
A lawyer won't really help you get more money. Lawyers get more money from the insurance company to pay themselves. If you are having a problem getting fair treatment from an insurance company, either threaten, or actually make a complaint to the DOI (Department of Insurance). Nothing will get an insurance company's attention and reaction faster, not even a lawyer.
