A lawyer won't really help you get more money. Lawyers get more money from the insurance company to pay themselves. If you are having a problem getting fair treatment from an insurance company, either threaten, or actually make a complaint to the DOI (Department of Insurance). Nothing will get an insurance company's attention and reaction faster, not even a lawyer.

When Gloria's sister and mother got t-boned by a drunk driver who ran a red light. Every single lawyer her sister called refused to take them on because the guy didn't have insurance, so there were no deep pockets to go after. They eventually found a lawyer, but they are still just as much shit out of luck as they were before.

Looks, I'm certainly no ambulance chaser here, but, as others have said: don't take any of your pains for granted. Even minor pains can linger for YEARS and become so nagging that you'll be miserable.

With that said, here's a suggestion for anyone involved in an accident - no matter who is at fault. With most folks carrying cell phones with cameras these days it makes it easier to accomplish this, but if you don't have one then throw in a disposable camera in your glove box. IMMEDIATELY get a photo of other drivers and passengers, the license plates of other involved vehicles - including witnesses vehicles, and any/all damage to both vehicles. Also consider pics of the area and conditions. If you or your passengers have injuries, try to photograph the visible ones as well. You memory sucks in dramatic situations and if the other parties make claims that your pictures can prove are false or argues what you know to be true, it can offer you some protection. By getting pics of the other license plate(s), it could be the only thing to lead to an arrest in the event of a hit-and-run.

We are well. Went to the Dr. yesterday, all is good. Just a stiff neck. Now we wait, insurance is taking their time. They said my wife would have to wait possibly untill next Tuesday before she can get a retal car...unless we pay out of pocket for one now.

There is no reason that you shouldn't get a rental immediately. Unless of course you are still driving your car around and it doesn't go into the shop until Tuesday or something.

one of my good friends got hit a couple years ago, and felt fine for weeks. one day out of no where he got a really bad headache and started blacking out... nest thing he knows he is in the hospital with brain swelling and almost died. the doctors said it was directly caused by his accident. ill have to ask him again exactly how it happened. not trying to scare you, but you need to be carefull about that stuff. he did end up getting like $13,000.00 for pain and suffering.

To make things better, last night I reported my visit to the doctor to our ajuster. And this morning we had to switch ajusters, because of my injury report. Whichin return, has put more of a delay on my lady getting a vehicle. Lucky me.
