DOW range in Buena Vista

Buddy and I shot at the range south of BV on Saturday. Very nice range, it's free. Well worth the trip from Idaho Springs. Had the rifle range to ourselves. They have targets pretty much from 25 to 1020. A couple targets at 500+ are plywood silhouettes of animals with a cut-out with steel in the vitals.

don't get my long range area crowded! It really is a nice range, they also have a pistol range, and a trap area setup.

I absolutely love that place. If you ever see a guy trying to hit the ram at 550 with his mosin nagant, that would be me. Please keep it clean

Me to, can someone PM me the location? I can only get 300yds at my home range and really would like to verify my comeups sometime.

It does get crowded. I made a mistake of going there on opening day rifle season one year. I had guys shooting at my targets, moving my targets, ...

From what i understand

285 south to johnsons village
go left toward salida to the chaffee county dump and recycling center
its on the left

should get you there I am yet to check it out
