Default Colorado Man's Mission to Kill Bin Laden

Saw this on Fox.com today. You've got to admire that this guy know's his time is growing short and wants to do something with it. But damn, that's a pretty tall order going after Bin Laden with a pistol and a sword.

    http://www.foxnews.com/world/2010/06...-laden-hurrah/

An ailing American on a solo mission to kill Usama bin Laden was going for his "last hurrah" when he flew to Pakistan to hunt the master terrorist, but he was detained by Pakistani police before he found his prey.

Gary Brooks Faulkner, a 50-year-old construction contractor from Colorado, was picked up in a remote forest near the Pakistan/Afghanistan border carrying a pistol, a 40-inch sword and night-vision equipment, according to Pakistani police.

Plus, if he kills him and lives through that, maybe the huge reward will help him with his health problems. Medical treatment is expensive. But, the $25 million will help. Plus, the book deal, movie rights, talk shows. And then the inevitable going in to hiding when the rest of the crazed muslim hordes come to kill him. Ah forget it, it sounds like too much trouble anyway.

The one question that kept coming up today is: What makes this one guy think he can find bin Laden when the entire might of the U.S. military can't find him?

I think the answer is easy. Check out this news story that came out today:
    http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/06/15...n-sight-years/
http: //www . foxnews . com/us/2010/06/15/ap-interview-fugitive-escaped-hanging-killing-hid-plain-sight-years/ (Here's the full URL in case the abbreviated link doesn't work. Just remove the spaces after the http: and the ones surrounding the dots.)

The jist of this story is that a convicted murderer who violated his parole by running away 40 years ago was found by the grandson (a dentist) of the killers victim. The murderer is now 79 years old and will remain in prison for the rest of his life.

My point: If a dentist can find a guy that law enforcement (including the FBI) couldnt locate for 40 years, then this guy from Greeley has just as good (or better) of a chance of finding bin Laden.
