Well its a relief i'm not the only one. Where I work backs up to a Nature Preserve and its nothing but hundreds of Cottonwoods. This is by far the worst allergies i've ever had. I NEVER had allergies until I moved to the Metro area.

the allergies are getting me. i live on 80 acres. full of every plant/weed known to man. and they are getting me good. when I ride my bike, the cottonwoods get me as I pass. They are lined up on both sides of the roads, like a gauntlet daring me to pass. What they dont know is I have a big Stihl chainsaw. and fire. So, they better stop messing with me.

for you young people. i never had allergies until about 30ish. and even now some years no allergies. just something to look forward to for you.

I'm in my early 20s and it's hit or miss with me for allergies. Some years I have them, some years I don't.

This year is ridiculous, by far the worst I've ever had.

It doesn't help that the pollen levels are pretty much off the charts.

I have hayfever and asthma, every summer my nose would be streaming, every winter I would wake up gasping for breath. When I moved to the US, everything went away. I've used my inhaler maybe ten times in the seven years I've lived here. My asthma was always triggered by cold weather and exercise, but here I can go out and shovel snow and I have no symptoms at all. It's fantastic.

I don't really get bad allergies but this year is the worst. I live in an area with a lot of cottonwoods & native grasses. After coming down with a sinus infection I started taking over the counter allergy meds. They help but I still have a lot of fluid and need some decongestant at night to preserve my marriage.

Funny that you started this thread. I don't really have any allergies (that I know of) but was just commenting last night how my nose won't stop running and I keep sneezing lately. It sure seems like allergies, but only since Monday of this week.
