Default Appleseed Rifle Clinic June 26-27

At Ben Lomand Gun Club north of Ramah, out Rt. 24 about an hour east of Colorado Springs.

It is a 2-day intensive clinic on position rifle shooting. Prone, sitting, kneeling, standing, all the steady hold factors for each position, use of the rifle sling in loop, hasty, and hasty-hasty configurations, natural point of aim, and the six steps to firing an accurate shot. No benchrests, sticks, or bipods - you learn to hold steady without them. Also included is the story of the day the American Revolution started, April 19th 1775.

If you want to build a really good foundation for all the fundamental skills of rifle shooting, build a steady position, refine your aiming and trigger management skills, learn to shoot small groups, and hear why you're an American and not something else, come attend. If you sign up online before the event, cost is only $70 for the weekend plus $5/day to Ben Lomand. Walk-ons or one-dayers pay only $5 more I believe. And under 21 or females of any age are FREE (except for the $5/day range fee).

Loads of fun! And lots of work, we move fast and cover a lot of material, but by the end of the weekend you'll have a large amount of knowledge and know how to practice it.

Can't say enough about the experience. Great to meet and spend quality time with Colorado Pete and the rest of the Appleseed crew. Camped out at the Ben Lomond range, which is a beautiful place. Learned a bunch. Shooting Rifleman was the icing on the cake.

Had a young Marine in the class, back from the sandbox just thirty days now. He stood up at the end of the second day and stated quite eloquently just how superior Appleseed training is to what he got in the Corps...

    The people? Top drawer.

    The history lessons? Priceless.

    The training? A bargain.

Wanna learn to shoot "up to your rifle"?? Appleseed is the place.

    It's the new gold standard.

Thanks cog dis! I know a couple other folks on the forum have attended past shoots, at Fountain I think.

Next one coming up is in Fountain, July 10/11!

If you want to improve your aiming, breathing, and trigger management skills, learn how to use a loop sling, and learn all the ins and outs of steady position shooting without needing to rely on bipods/sticks/rests, and learn why we're Americans and not British subjects today, come spend the weekend with us!

Pete, hope to see you soon, been doing the summer thing with the kids (baseball, soccer, vacation...) but will get back on the trail soon.
