Thanks for the heads up, but can't make it today. Went the last two days though.

I accidentally caught a crayfish and a carp broke my line.
I did talk to some people and see some examples of how to rig my line.

yea, i went yesterday and no luck for 7 hours, but i had a good day with my 3year old daughter and her sponge bob pole hahaha, now i need to sell a gun to get a small fishing boat hahaha

I'm going to go back and catch a baby crayfish and put him in my fresh water tank. This time I'll bring a net suited for it though. I DID catch one by hand, but it was a pain.
The first day out I was trying to use spinners and was casting like every two minutes or so. It didn't seem like that was what anyone else was doing, so I think that is more for streams. I'm glad I got to see how people had sinker rigs set up. When I tried something similar the next day, I had a big bite within 10 minutes. However my line broke and I didn't get anything for the rest of the day.
I asked one fisherman if anyone ate carp and he said, "Yeah, a lot of black people eat them." lol
