New range in development

Hey,

I do model rocketery, and today the facility we launch them at had a meeting for the neighbors in the area. They are looking at converting a portion of this expansive ranch area into shooting ranges. There's a number of pistol ranges on the board, but probably of more interest to this group are rifle ranges up to 1200 yards. The location is on the highway between Pueblo and Beulah, and it's called Hudson Ranch. Don't know how many of you are this far south, but if you're interested I can keep you informed of it.

Of course, it's all dependent on rezoning approval, and there was on neighbor who was afraid of the street-intersection that might be added to this facility for SWAT training. She asked if they'd be firing live bullets in a 360 degree training simulation. All of the other neighbors were OK with it.

Be a bit of a drive for me , but the long range part might make it worth the ocasional visit.

I'd be interested. We have a second home between Walsenburg and La Veta. Been looking for a place down that way.
