Just got a pair of CProducts SS 20 round straightbody mags (5.56) from the man in the brown truck. So...I load to 20 and neither will seat with the bolt forward. Download to 19 and they will, download to 18 and it's even easier to seat.
I would assume that this is because of a very stiff spring, but I remember an old, well used Brownells 20 rounder that acted the same...had to really slap it to lock in when full.
So does the geometry of the straight 20's prevent the spring/follower from compressing enough for a full 20, or is it a stiff spring thing that will disappear with use?
