By the way, the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge has had the same stretch of land with posted signs saying that the area was unsafe for civilians since 2006.. W T F .. 4 years to fix that little problem and nothing has been done.

    Time for a camping trip!

About a year or two ago, a member on another gun site was trying to rally people to go out and single handedly "handle" the illegal drug growers in the national forests. He even said I could be the "point man!"

I really wonder if people contemplate what the "worse case" scenario of repercussions would be for a civilian to actually go and "do something" like that...

But on the other hand, as macabre and machissmio as it may sound: Could be fun.

I'm with you brotha. But, let's face it... If any U.S. citizen were to cause a Mexican National drug smuggler to so much as get a danged splinter, we'd be strung up and left for lib bait by our own "justice" system.

Well the actual OP shouldn't be anything more than scouting, observation and reporting information to the Border Patrol and other local LE. Carrying weapons for self defense is absolutely the smart thing to do, but not getting into a position to have to actively engage these bad guys is what should be done.

Regardless, the time is coming when some group or another is going to actual have the where-with-all to actually run OP's down that way that will end up with a bunch of people getting hurt bad.

Hell, we need to train up troops for Afghanistan operations, why not cycle them through 2 month rotations down on the border. Gives them some acclimation, real world patrolling and operational ramp up and gives us that added security down there.

Then again, turning loose a couple of companies of Rangers or Marines would do the same thing

This goes beyond osama. GW let this happen too, clinton all the rest of the 2 party jackass politicians. Close the damn border. Anyone that would be stupid enough to go down and engage these people would almost deserve death. They dont think like we do about living. You have much more to lose and or live for. (unless as a member of the DOD, NG with friends)

otherwise what BADSHOT said. I agree.
