well the wife has a 97' 318 V8 has 300k+, excellent condition. burns no oil, 20 mph, compression is about 5% across the range, I put new Energy suspension kit in it and rides like new, course she doesn't let me drive it much.

I have a 95' ZJ with the 4L straight six and 167kmi. It's got a 4" lift and sitting on 33" tall tires. The engine is tired, and it really needs a lower gear ratio to turn those tires well. A lot older than you asked about though.

I just had a guy from the 4x4 board come over yesterday, he fixed a belt pully that the bearings fell out of for $40.

Wife had an 03 straight 6 that was gutless. Other than the weak ass 6 cylinders I think they're decent vehicles and the only way I'd buy another one is to either build it into a buggy or if I got a good deal and it had the V8!

I guess it is just mine then. Just turned 26k, got it back from the dealer today for the third set of driveshafts, seem mine only last about 8k, second front axle and second transfer case. The front springs have settled so much the headlights needed to be re-aimed while we wait for new springs which are on National backorder. It has never been off road. At 8k it also needed both front power window motors. On longer trips it seems to vapor lock, at least it has the symptoms of vapor lock. It has the 4.7 v8 and command trac II 4x4 system. Never again. Glad everyone else has better luck with theirs. Thank goodness it has the unlimited warranty. JEEP, just empty every pocket.

Yup, damned full time four wheel drive. When it is working nothing is better on slick roads, but needing a full rebuild every 8k sucks. You would think Jeep would want to buy it back just so they could stop paying to fix it. I'd guess it costs them $3500 or more each time, so far it has been every 6 months. I know it is a '07, but it was a leftover at my Aunt's dealership, I got it Sept '08 with 9 miles on the odo. Window sticker said $41k, I got it for $22k. Still don't think it was a good deal.
