Default caught me a DUI last night... doh.

(not me, someone else) ha ha,

three males in a nissan maxima made the turn on the corner by my house, but forgot to continue straight after the turn, ended up in the neighbors bushes with the car on top - stuck.

Apparently my neighbors were so toasted themselves they didn't hear or see anything. (thought it was strange they didn't come outside)

Kept one distracted and in the area long enough for LPD to show up - which they did quickly. Two disappeared, the one we had ended up being the driver.

It's interesting to see and hear what drunk people do. Guy pretty much admitted to everything, yeah, it's my car, yeah I'm a little, ok very drunk, etc.

(hey man, relax, I'm on the phone right now with a tow truck, they'll get you out of there in a minute, hey ok dude thanks.) (really It's 911 but they don't seem to know the difference, used this same tactic the last time this happened)

nicely done! guess the guy isn't a very good designated drunk driver.
now he gets to pay some pretty good coin for his fuck up! glad nobody was hurt

Good job, I'm glad you were able to keep him there. I have ZERO tollerance for drunk drivers.

Yes, very pet peeve of mine is DUI. I've helped catch several over the years.

Happens a couple times a year. One street T's with another, I'm on the corner of the T, thankfully only once has the problem been with my property. They usually just blow the stop sign and end up dukes of hazzard into the school parking lot. (large dip in road entering school lot, pretty funny when it happens)

Not sure how these goofs did this last night, tried to turn right at the stop sign and kept going right into the large bushes. ?

Anyone need some nissan maxima parts? airdam, plastic undercarriage cover, misc. items. Black in color. (kid just got the car too, had temp plates on it)

Funny as crap to watch that dude fall into the 2 foot deep irrigation ditch last night, never even saw it was there! Just like a leap of faith, Wham!

Many kudos to LPD, awesome watching those code three cars come up the hill like starsky and hutch, sound of the police motors roaring.

One dumb friend that left the scene, came back by with their girlfriends driving him, obviously looking for their other missing "friend". Told the officer that one other suspect just went by in another car. Really? Yep. Few minutes later, they drove by again with both other guys in the car, got the plate this time and told him. Not sure if they did anything else with that or not. Got the driver, so that's all that matters I guess.

Love watching tow trucks yank cars out of bad places, all the car parts falling off and the noises it makes. Cool.

Last time this happened, same side of street, from different direction, car was flying up the street, tried to make the corner and ended up on it's side in the irrigation ditch. Apparently not drunk, just stupid. Kids were scared as crap, really messed up mom's car. ha ha. (been there done that!)

I'm thinking someone should find a new neighborhood

eh, people think it's a bad neighborhood, but I know folks in other parts of town that have similar problems and supposedly live in "nice areas".

Lot's of section 8 and duplexes. Can't fix it. All the old timers back in the 40's and 50's built duplexes on the large lots they owned to "make money" during retirement, now they are dieing off and leaving the duplexes to HUD or selling them off to slum lords. Eventually we get our revenge on the slum lords though, if they have a bad renter, we make sure they know about it. Police reports, phone calls to city code enforcement etc. Took 2 years to get rid of the last batch of renters. Landlord won't do that again, lost a lot of money on them. (home repairs)

I've got good neighbors at the moment, the ones in the rental across the street are mostly quiet and don't bother anyone, so who cares if they are drunk and don't realize someone just ran over their lawn.

My only suggestion though, move into the "center" of a city, don't live near the border of several other cities. (not far off denver, edgewater, wheatridge, in lakewood) seem to get a lot of riff raff passing through. (colfax) Each city pushes the riff raff back to the other side, back and forth.

and don't live on a corner of a couple semi-major streets.
