    Default US vs. AZ

    Anyone else supports AZ?

Today, we received official notice of the federal government’s lawsuit against the state of Arizona.

I am sure you will agree with me that the Administration’s lawsuit is an outrageous use of taxpayer money and a sure sign that the President is more interested in politics than securing our southern border.

This lawsuit follows the President’s immigration speech in which he called for comprehensive immigration reform that – not surprisingly – includes a path to citizenship for those who entered our country illegally.

Let me be clear, I will defend the rule of law all the way to the Supreme Court of this land if necessary. I will continue to demand that the Federal government live up to its responsibility to control our Southern border and to protect our homeland. And, I will oppose the President’s amnesty plan.

But I need your immediate help today.

In order to respond to President Obama’s lawsuit I have set up a legal defense fund to pay the legal fees that Arizona has been forced to incur as a result of all of these lawsuits.

I urge all Americans who want a secure border to contribute to this fund immediately.

This is not just an Arizona issue, this is an American issue. Are we or are we not going to enforce the rule of law in America? The burden alone should not be shouldered by Arizonans. Arizona needs you to answer the call today, right now.

Make no mistake; Arizona’s immigration law affects the safety and well-being of every U.S. citizen. The federal government has failed to enforce the rule of law.

As long as the Federal Government refuses to do its job, I will ensure that Arizona continues to live by a rule of law.

Your immediate donation of $250, $125, $75 or whatever you can afford you can afford will go directly into fighting President Obama’s lawsuit. I do ask that you make this very important commitment today so we can immediately begin to defend against the President’s actions.

Arizona is the front line of our nation’s illegal immigration crisis. The federal government is broken and our border is not secure. That is why Arizona had to act.

I will not stop fighting to protect our country. I will defend us in federal court and we will continue to do the job President Obama refuses to do.

Join me today by clicking here now.

    Sincerely,

    Governor Jan Brewer

In 24 hours, AZ was able to raise $200000 to fight this legal battle!

My family donated and decided to cancel our San Diego trip and change it to Lake Powell! What say you?

I sent an email to the white house this morning telling them what I thought of a government which is supposed to be "by the people" now turning around and suing the people when it refuses to abide by the decisions of the people. Not to mention the utter hypocrisy of suing Arizona because they are interfering with the federal immigration efforts--as though there have been any (and here the federal republicans are just about as guilty)! I think it is time it is said out loud, and I can say this because I work for the feds and have an inside look at the problem every day--the democrats are not just complicit in this, but are absolutely pushing this lawsuit and anything else which threatens to stop illegal immigration. Why? Because every single illegal who comes across the border is a potential democrat voter once yet another amnesty is declared for them, and the entitlements are set out on the table for them. I have said it before, but any country which does not defend its own borders is doomed.

Same here. The Rockies spring train in Tucson. The family is planning a Christmas trip to Arizona just to support them.

100% This is just another action by the current administration that is pushing us ever closer to the precipice of a new civil war. Eventually, someone (the state of AZ perhaps?) is going to push back.

I do not look forward to that time.

I just don't see it, those that are pissed are about to get back congress, and those that are happy are too rich or lazy to raise up in their own defense.

the money people making more(companies getting hand outs), are no different than mercenaries, once the tide turns, their PR departments will make it look like they were pissed all along.

A welfare recipient...Once the riot is over it's back home to watch their new five finger discount tv and enjoy some more meth on Gov't dollars.

Now if the next congress is the same as the current .gov with a different letter after their name, I suddenly start to like the Canadian idea of the full removal of parliment. clean slate, everyone out. I doubt we could make this happen easy as politians seem to love keeping their jobs more than helping the people, but we can hope.

I think we're at a major turning point in our nation's history. America (as an ideal, in addition to a nation) will survive or fall in the decades hence based on what we Americans and our leaders do today. And things look pretty bleak.
