Lmt .308 Mws

I am very interested in a .308 AR style rifle and when I came across the LMT .308 that the Brit’s just picked up I almost piddled myself I was so excited.
The LMT web site has a media page and I’ve checked out those articles: http://www.lewismachine.net/media.php

Their site lists two models and I emailed LMT for info. Here’s the reply I got:
Here the differing features of both models.
LM308MWSE – 16” Chrome lined, button rifled, 1:10” twist, chrome vanadium steel, machine gun rated barrel
LM308MWSF – 16” Blackened Stainless steel, 1:11.25” twist, 5R cut rifling, machine gun rated barrel.
That’s about the only real difference between the 2.


So far I’ve only found info on other forums/articles speculating as to the capabilities and performance of the LMT308MWS. So, has anyone here tried one out yet?

I emailed one of the listed distributors regarding purchasing one since I can’t seem to find them listed for sale online yet. Today I found 1 on gunbroker.com but that’s about it. He replied that he will get some in early September. Can any dealer or person with an FFL contact LMT and place an order?

I know there are other rifles out there; I’m looking for info on this particular product. Thanks!

Where are you located. We have a good working relationship with LMT. I''ve been told that the wait time is approx 8-12 weeks for the .308 due to demand right now. If interested, pm me.
