AK side mount

Anyone here have one of the AK side mount scopes? Recently got a folder for a new truck / jeep gun and was thinking about some kind of red dot sight. Are the russians with the integral QD mount worth trying or? Any sugestions on what to look for?
If the russians are unreliable or hard to find I may just order the mount with the pic rail and use an old N cell Eo thats takeing up space.
Any comments or sugestions are welcome.

Thanks for the link BP , had no idea there were so many.
As no one here seems to have any first hand experience I'll probably just order a mount and use my old Eo. I'll look around the Seratoma show this weekend first, maybe get lucky.

I have an over the dust cover rail I'm selling. Replaces your iron though.

I have the Leapers/UTG MNT978 on my Son's and my AK. I really like them. They hold zero each time I have taken them off to field strip/clean the guns after each shoot.
