    Default Daniel Defense ARs

What do you all think of Daniel Defense AR15s? I am contemplating getting one once I get back in the oilfield. Im just curious what the folks of CO-AR15 have to say about them? ANy experience with them? It wont be a piston rifle FYI.

For that kind of cash you can pick up an complete upper and lower separately (new) and have an LMT or BCM and still have quite a bit of coin left over. I cant say much for the DD as I've never owned one but I've had great luck with LMT and BCM.

The combination that DD has thrown together is a top notch offering. It sits well within the mid range of the AR world. I've recommended them to folks as their first AR. You could do a lot worse. Though you might consider (though it pains me to say so) looking at Smith and Wesson M&P's as well. I'd put them on par with each other. Saber Defense is another hidden gem, you just won't end up with the Railed forend and the BUIS with a $8-900 Saber, but it's a great building platform.

I acquired my first AR through a trade, and it was a Daniel's Defense. I haven't shot many other AR's to compare it to, but I really like it so far. I need to get out to a 100-300 yard range to see just how accurate it is. I've never had a miss feed or any other malfunctions with it. Hope this helps

Build a custom AR using BCM parts IMO.

you'll get an arguably BETTER rifle for less money.

    YMMV

+1 for BCM. I recently purchased their 14.5" upper, BCG, and gunfighter charging handle, and it is by far, THE BEST shooting out of the box AR i've ever fired. I put a Colt carry handle on it, and literally had it sighted in, within 10 rounds. I can't say the same for my last Bushmaster (tho a very decent AR IMO).
