I had a few more that I erased after looking at them. I don't mean to sound insensitive to other races at times. But I will not feel that my race is a lesser one either. You should be able to be proud of your own skin and not let others call you names to belittle you because of it. I think there is a word for that... cocksucker... yeah your a cocksucker if you try that with me and likely to catch a beat down too.

I know that age discrimination keeps coming up in my job search whether anyone wants to admit it or not. It's an employer's market with all these folks out of work and they're using it.

Don't let your years of experience go to waste because the employer doesn't think they want you. You just have to convince them that you are the man for the job. You are immune from sexual harrasment, you won't show up to work late or still drunk like a kid, you can start earlier than anybody else. Weekends are for family and you have no problem working on them. Just have to word it like a sleezy politician. The free oil in the gulf is a great give to those living on the coast...

That sure is the unfortunate truth, I hear that a lot. You know, if you think that's a roadblock, perhaps you can upsell your age as a benefit, being more experienced and such. Last time I hired someone I had a "wiser" man (like my political correctness there?) interview and I hired him based on the fact that he had three times the experience to do what I needed, even though I'm in a fairly "young" kind of industry. In all fairness, though, I also hired a young gal who was smoking hot and big chested too, my clients LOVE to buy from her!

Back in the dark ages when I had to travel for work, I often parked at the airport for a couple of weeks at a time (employer paid for it, so why not?). I drove my 1970 Powerwagon out there. The doors don't lock, it has a plywood rear window, and is colored green/white/rust. Most times I left the keys in the ignition. Needless to say, nobody ever bothered it. I kept hoping someone would steal the radio out of it, so I would have an excuse to replace it (they'd have got what they deserved...), but, alas, no such luck. Said truck now serves as interim storage for dead motorcycle tires between pickups by the recyclers. Current record for tires in the back of the truck stands at 192.
