    Default sighting in shooting rest

    i am starting to use my AR out to 500 and 600 yards. to do this well, i would like to get an affordable shooting rest. anyone have any suggestions? thanks

    Harris bipod and a sand-sock. Cheap and gets the job done.
    Mom's comin' 'round to put it back the way it ought to be.

    i have the bipod, are you saying using the bag for the back end? cause thats where stabilization has been a problem i think, i occasionally flinch when firing, i need something to hold it more steady

    sand bag for the rear of the stock-I have a Magpul PRS stock and have the same problem due to the weight of my varmint set up-I was going to get a monopd for the rail on it but it was around a $100-sand is a lot cheaper
