Full gym in the basement (all free weights) and 3 days on the Mats at Judo practice for 2 hours a pop does it for me.

Cheaper in the long run, convenient, no waiting in line for a piece of equipment, etc. There are many more positives than negatives IMO. I love having my own workout area; it's one of the best decisions I've made in a long time.

As for routines, I'm big on what Ross Enamait preaches.

Combining strength + conditioning exercises + core work will get one in great shape.
You talking about the 19 down the street from us? Tried it for a year but got tired of the asshats who like to tie up multiple stations, seems every other week I'd have some douche PO'd because I had no problem tossing their towels out of my way if they were just bs'ing somewhere else. I now go to powerhouse but not as often as I should.

The 19 on Holly & 128? No, I haven't been to that one. It was the Westminster one on 112th & Federal, I used to live closer to that one. But yeah, that one was bad enough, I hear you. During the busy times it was impossible to get what you wanted.

I thought gun nuts were a bunch of old fat guys? That's what the whack jobs always portray us as yet on everygun forum I have been on there is usually a fitness section or at least threads on it. I would like to try cross fit as well as the gym for a while but I can't afford anymore money going out right now.

I am getting old, I don't push myself like I used to, I need a drill to get me motivated.

Yeah, Old and Fat is what they portray us as. I'd be willing to bet, between the Military, LE, and "survivalist" types, who are also gun enthusiasts, there are more people working out than one would think. Part of it for me, is the fact that my family doesn't exactly have the greatest health record past 60 or so. Some of it is hereditary, some of it is just plain ole not taking care of themselves, I refuse to be one of family members always in the hospital when i'm 65. I'll be enjoying the retired life, still doing everything I love to do.
