    Default Fun With My Saiga

I love my Saiga 12! I bought a 20 round drum for it and was getting some massive fireballs out of it so I mixed in some reds and blacks and did a night shoot while camping this weekend. It was a new drum and had a jam after about 10 rounds, but it was fun.

    P.S. - Sorry for the dialog, I couldn't help it .

What'd you pay for it? I'm interested in getting on in 20 gauge.

I picked it up off a guy on ColoGunMarket a few years ago for $400, then I added all new furniture and some mods for another $400 plus $100 for the drum. It's a bad ass little rifle now! That 20 round drum is a blast to shoot - I put about 400 rounds downrange this weekend. I ended up with a full trash bag full of spent shells and wad casings - but it was a blast (literally).

Ranger how about some pics of that ? I'd like to see what you've done to it.

As soon as I get my last piece of furniture in, a tube stock, I'll snap some shots. My buddy that I camped with was a bit intimidated by it . The last time he saw it I hadn't done much to it, now it's decked out with a razor sharp breach brake on it, tactical lights, pistol grips, laser sight and that 20 round drum hanging off of it certainly firms up any doubt as to its deadliness!

My hand is still sore from sending so many down range in that thing. Add to that the 600 or so rounds from my AR, 300 or so on my .45 and 300 or so on my 9, it was a lot of shooting, those targets didn't stand a chance!

My favorite though was I set up a silhouette at 200 yards just sighting in my AR and 1) dead center forehead shot repeatedly with my Henry AR7 .22 and 2) total spray with my 1400 FPS Saiga shots, it was a hell of a trip.

Cool Vid, Ranger! What were the "black" shells you were running?

Just went over to the Saiga-12.com website, and there are some new products just released...

auto-regulating gas plug (no more changing settings for low-power or high-power magnum loads) by tac47industries.com

Cadiz Gun Works just released a Auto bolt hold open...
compatible with at least one magwell on the market...

If these work well, they will be great additions to the Saiga-12
I love mine, too- it needs some more mods, been too busy with other projects to give her the attention she deserves
ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ, we are the III%, CIP2, and some other catchphrase meant to aggravate progreSSives who are hell bent on taking rights away...

Those were Remington 1400 FPS high steel blacks, nice fireball huh? I like that auto gas plug, I'll have to grab one. The 1330 FPS reds were like this little speck, then the alternating blacks made them look like a BB gun. Those blacks have some power too, with not too much of an arc, 200 yards on a target too.

Now is the perfect time for someone to make a joke about a Saiganificant Other. I'm busy right now, so someone else do it.

You can't get an "Evil" street sweeper without registering it as a DD. But you can pick up one of those little babies and have the same amount of fun. And its easier to reload since its mag fed. Nice gun all around.
