I don't think one would be "certified" (although, many of you guys here already are...J/K), but Cope I believe gives out certificates attesting that you took the class, etc, similar to how other training schools do. I'm not sure how that would look or compare on a resume, however.
If you guys were wanting that for your resume, I understand that on one level. That's cool. But if you're just looking to increase your knowledge and give yourself a more intimate knowledge of Glock pistols, then Cope is your man to make that happen. And like he's quoted in the above, he'll give you extra inside info you wouldn't get otherwise.
So a question: Is the certification mainly attractive for a resume? Any other reasons? I'm simply curious.
