    As far as I know, there is no federal statute that would prohibit carrying a handgun in your truck simply because it's a commercial vehicle. You'd still be subject to the laws of the state you are in and other federal laws (such as carrying into or on a federal facility, military base, etc...). You would also be subject to any rules of your employer.

    So, for example, if you have a CO concealed handgun permit and operate your own rig, you can carry concealed in your truck anywhere your CO permit is recognized and where carry is legal. If you drive for a company, their policy might prohibit carry. But federal law doesn't other than what would normally apply to any permit holder.
