Another workplace shooting. What drives people to believe this is going to solve anything? I just don't get it.

Don't wanna get shot by the police?
"Stop Resisting Arrest!"
Ooops
I looked to see if anyone Posted this story, you did and I missed it![]()
Psycologically speaking, people do this sort of act as a "revenge". In their delusional minds, they believe that the other party had wronged them, it's their sense of entitlment, no matter how lazy/anti-authoriative, etc they themselves were. In killing other people, they feel vindicated and now hold power over some one elses life and it makes them feel like they are higher on the ladder now and reinforces even more destructive behavoir.
I say it's the lack of teaching of personal responsibility, the value of life, standards, morals, etc... basically the "my babee ain't dew nuttin'" and the "who am I to tell others what they ought to do" type people/stuff.
You could be right. That stuff is way over my head and I tend to see things in a more black/white reality. It just seems that if someone possessed even the most basic of coping skills they'd decide on another course of action.

They would if they had a concrete understanding of right vs wrong....
But I've noticed that a lot of kids today really believe in no absolute truth, which leads to a severe lack of (once again) standards/morals/belief system/etc...
We are going downhill fast.
20 years ago: Is it right and will it help?
Today: How do I get away with it and what will I get?
Revenge is always messy! As many times as this happens it never loses the "Shock" factor!
There was a similar shooting in a Florida Publix parking lot a little over a month ago where the Manager fired someone and she actually left and came back! There was time to think and rationalize, but that didn't occur!
I agree it's like you said, that person had the power over their life and fire that person so then that person took power into thier own hands to control the other persons life, a sad circle to watch unfold
I've fired people before, and I just can't imagine those people turning on me for it![]()
This is messed up, I hate hearing this for two reasons: one is that it's tragic and has no point and the second is that it just gives the left more ammunition to want gun control.
"...quemadmodum gladius neminem occidit, occidentis telum est." [...a sword never kills anybody; it's a tool in the killer's hand.] -- (Lucius Annaeus) Seneca "the Younger" (ca. 4 BC-65 AD)
“I regret that I have but one life to lose for my country.” ~ Nathan Hale (final words before being hanged by the British, September 22, 1776.)
If at first you don't succeed -- skydiving is not for you
and then the 1st question back to the left- was this a gun-free zone already?
I don't see anything in the article to indicate one way or the other.
Personally, it makes me want to carry at work (but not allowed by company policy), since they just had another layoff a couple weeks ago..
ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ, we are the III%, CIP2, and some other catchphrase meant to aggravate progreSSives who are hell bent on taking rights away...
"Omar". "May have been racially motivated". "Discrimination".
anger issues along with getting caught, along with a sense of entitlement to a job due to race I think are the biggest players.
what pisses me off is that people can not control themselves and blame the rest of the world for their problems.
