Default A question for Tancredo supporters

If Tom Tancredo were to drop out of the race, how would this change your vote?

(note: if you're not now a Tancredo supporter and weren't planning on voting for him, simply hit the "View Poll Results" link instead of voting ... please only Tancredo supporters vote in this poll).

I am the first voter in the poll, guess what I voted.

OK, OK, I voted to hold my nose and I will probably end up doing that even if Tom carries through to the bitter end.

6 is a pretty small sample, but it is kind of making my point.

It seems like Tancredo doesn't really have much support.

On this board I would disagree, he appears to have quite a bit based on the polls I put up earlier. There's no doubt that there are a number of people who support Tancredo, the problem is that those people would likely have voted republican if he didn't enter the race and that's why he's guaranteeing Hick a victory.

Those polls are about who people would vote for given those specific choices. I put that I'd vote for Tancredo over McInnes, but I wouldn't say I support Tancredo. If anything, I'm being more convinced not to vote for him.

My suspicion is that on this forum Tancredo has more support than in the general population.

I had this discussion at the bar last night and was actually surprise at how many folks actually were supporting Tom.. the informal consensus (about 10 or so folks popping into the conversation) was that the Republicans are dipshits for not finding a real candidate and Little Johnny Hickenlooper is a ass hat we have to avoid at all costs. This was here in SE Aurora and rather informal. But the reason it seemed that so many supported Tom was because he's outspoken and calls it like he sees it and then doesn't back down because he pissed in some special interest groups cheerios.

I get the whole split the vote concept, but Colorado is predominantly non-party affiliated, meaning there are more independents than Demicraps or Republicants .. Tom's got a damn good chance if we stop hedging our bets and just get out and support the first viable 3rd party candidate we've had in a Colorado Governors race. If anything, I want Maes to step off and let Tom have the Republicant's spot.
