I had one years ago teaching a US 20th century class. He hammered the US for Tokyo/Dresden bombings. Excuses like "innocent civilians", "no need for it", and "failed to end the war sooner anyway". When I mentioned Rotterdam, London, Warsaw, etc. he got really defensive- used the old "no better than the bad guys" liberal cop out. I learned nada from this prick. He even blamed the US for "forcing Japan to bomb Pearl Harbor!!!!We found out later he refused to be drafted for Viet Nam- he worked in a hospital kitchen instead for his "service". He is still teaching at the same college. pathetic. Bet his pension will be a shitload more than mine too.

Frankly, I think it's amazing how quickly a couple of well-placed nuclear weapons will change someone's mind on that whole "we're gonna dominate the entire eastern hemisphere" thing.
