Absolutely, I was a scrawny kid when I went in, but I didn't see anyone of, well, HIS stature after basic. After AIT, maybe, when they had a chance to settle in, but Ranger school - no frickin way. And special forces training? If he was then he was the entire platoon (maybe the whole company).

Those jump wings should be nailed into his forehead. It's not so much the uniform that pisses me off (hey, it's America and didn't we just decide it was OK to pretend...?), it's that he's saying that he beat out 2/3rds of the guys who went through special ops training in his physical condition. And being an MP AND in a special forces unit....hmmmm.....

Shitsacks like this guy make me want to pour a huge amount of chlorine in the Gene-pool.

I'm not ranger or SF Commando but I have spent enough time on Green-ramp to know that "Heavy-Drop" here is in fact a huge pile of shit that needs to fucking die.

I Serious doubt anyone over at the 612th QM (Riggers) would know how to palatalize this fatass.

I'm going to go do push-ups until I Vomit now

Not excusing the fraud, but I pity him- he must really hate his real life, if he goes to this effort to fabricate a new one... to what end? Just to get a bit of admiration for what someone else has done?

Hopefully he sees the error of his ways (and a good Psychiatrist)

We should refer to him as Private Pyle... but he didn't even earn the rank of Private (neither have I... but I would never fake it)

There are those that want to belong to something greater than themselves that could not for one reason or another; physical health, mental, emotional, etc. I personally find their behavior abhorrent and I commend the person who contacted this guy and forcibly removed the items the guy didn't deserve to wear.

I joined the Army Infantry in 1985 and there were a lot of people I was stationed with in Germany who were 'PX Rangers", who felt left out, not quite good enough and felt the need to buy awards they didn't earn or awarded and have two different uniforms to wear. One was their normal, boring everyday uniforms and the second, they were Rangers, SF, what-have-you.

After Desert Storm, I knew a number of actual Soldiers who got left out of the conflict who felt the need to buy CIB's and wear combat patches when they PCS'ed to new units and some were caught.

Currently, we have a tons of people who have deployed overseas for over 10 years now. It is hard to find someone above E-5 who hasn't deployed, but there are a few flitting around, hiding here and there in school houses, admin positions, using every trick in the book to keep from being deployed. I foresee a bunch of these who will be the next generation of PX Rangers as those in the line units have been deploying every few years. My current unit (National Guard now, I'm getting old!) has already been to Iraq twice and it gearing up for its third tour somewhere.

Why do they do it? Wanting to belong. To be a part of something greater than themselves. To not feel left out. Hell! I was out of the military in 1998 and re-enlisted back in in 2006 in order to deploy with my unit. I wanted to belong, to be a part of something greater, but I had the BALLS to sign on the dotted line and put the uniform on, gear up and go do what my government asked of me.

I just did some research on this guy, it's a pretty interesting story and he's behind bars now.
