I have a Mk II Competition model that I have upgraded with Volquartsen lockwork, Herrett grips, a Volquartsen compensator, and a red dot. I use it for Bullseye competition, and it works great. I love it. You can get anything for them, and they just keep working. I also have a 22/45 that's accurate and fun. I may get one of those little Walthers one of these days, but the next .22 I get will be a little Taurus Stainless 9 shot 4".

I've had the Mosquito and Walther and was unimpressed with their performance. For plinking I like Rugers. Shooting for beer money I prefer a 17, 41 or Hammerli Trailside and am also quite taken by the Colt 2nd Gen Woodsmans and HiStandard HD Militaries...

I like the Walther P22 because it is easy to put the Outback II suppressor on. My wife and her women friends like to shoot this gun because it is light weight and they don't have to wear any ear protection.

I voted for the Ruger Mk II ect.. have had one with bull/target barrel for several years. Ton of fun to shoot, i've put several thousands of rounds through it with no mechanical issues at all. Just need to clean it once in a great while. Very accurate, did I mention fun.

If I were in the market for another .22 cal handgun I would get the S&W 617 revolver would last a few lifetimes. http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/w...layErrorView_Y

S&W 617 looks like a really hard gun to beat but the price is off the chart which has held me back from getting serious about it.

I have a Ruger MKII right now. It is my second or third one. I love it. Never a hang up. Last time we took it out we put 400 rounds of dirty walmart (winchester) ammo through it without a problem.

My first .22 pistol was a P22. Very good looks and felt good. It was very picky about ammo and did not like to be dirty. I'd get another one if the deal was right but the ruger is easily the best.

I've got three Ruger semi-autos and I've been very happy with all of them.

I like my Ruger Mark 111, but I need a nylon strap to cover my finger when I push down the round button on the magazine to load it. You have to be very careful with that button slide; because if you let it go with a live round in the magazine the rim of the 22 will hit the top of the metal mag. and possibly explode.
But my favorite is my Ruger Single Action Hunter. It comes with rings for a scope; but I prefer using my irons. V notch rear, with a gold bead front on the 6 7/8" stainless barrel. I put the bead at the bottom of the V at 50 yds., and I put the bead flush with the top of the V at 100 yds. for a perfect zero.
I WOW EM at the the range when I shoot tennis balls hung from a string, offhand at 100 yds!

I love the Ruger MKII (have no experience with the MKIII) and a friend has a Buckmark that has always been a solid preformer. I doubt that you would do wrong with either one of them.
With that said I have a couple that have enjoyed over the years that are not on your list. Colt ACE .22 kit. I have always had a thing for the 1911 platform and a H&R 999 Sportsman (9 shot top break that is a great gun to teach others to shoot handgun). My most recent purchase is a S&W 422. Very fun, and the barrel bushing can be replaced with a threaded one if you are interested in a silencer later on...
