+1 for the Ruger Mark II. Mine is a Stainless 5.5 bull. Don't much care for the "improvements" on the Mark III.
I voted Ruger. I have the Stainless Ruger MK II "Competition Target" model with 5.5" slab-side barrel. Its hands down the most accurate pistol I've ever owned and I've had quite a few .22 pistols over the years . It's only drawback I think is the weight.
I like the P22, because it makes my wife happy.

SIG Mosquito - it's my high volume practice gun for my SIG P6. That said, it's pretty picky when it comes to ammo and not a Bullseye gun.
I have several S&W K frame .22 and .22 magnums, I also have an older (1992) model 41 that is a work of art. They are all great guns to shoot. For and inexpensive ~$325 fun gun I just got the GSG 1911. Blast to shoot and seems to be well made. Love those .22s

I've always entered a forum by testing the water head first, so here goes. Favorite 22 pistol Ruger MkI short bull barrel factory thumb rest grips. Bought it new in 73 and I don't want to think about how much ammo it's gone through. The only change has been a security-six front sight, to make it easier to get out of the holster.![]()
