    Talking Lurker no mo'

    Hello all

My name is Steve and I'm addicted to firearms. They say that admitting you have a problem is the first step in overcoming your addiction. I say . . . . . bah!!

I've lurked the CO-AR15 forums for awhile now. I finally joined and have had some great interactions with a few different people. I just hadn't made it a priority to create my intro thread. My bad.

I enjoy long walks on the beach, candle lit dinners, and . . . . . uh . . . whoa . . .wrong forum. I enjoy collecting and learning about all sorts of different firearms. How's that saying go? Jack of all trades, master of none. That would probably describe my knowledge when it comes to firearms. I've got a lot to learn and it seems like this is a good place to good place to do it. I like shooting, camping, video games, and making stuff. I'm a CNC machinist during the week (yes) and give lap dances to amazingly gorgeous women on the weekends (no).

Well that's about it. I look forward to BS'ing with everyone. Longest / stupidest intro ever? You decide!

Not a bad intro ... only one little nit to pick.

"I've trolled CO-AR15 forums for awhile now."

The correct terminology would be "I've lurked on the CO-AR15 forums for awhile now."

"Trolling" a forum is when you post incendiary things on forums trying to stir up conflict.

And I guess this post officially makes me a Forum Protocol Nazi

    Welcome Steve!

You weren't "trolling", you were "lurking" -

    Troll (Internet)

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
    Jump to: navigation, search
"Do not feed the trolls" and its abbreviation "DNFTT" redirect here. For the Wikimedia essay, see "What is a troll?".
In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into a desired emotional response[1] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[2] In addition to the offending poster, the noun troll can also refer to the provocative message itself, as in "that was an excellent troll you posted". While the term troll and its associated action trolling are primarily associated with Internet discourse, media attention in recent years has made such labels highly subjective, with trolling being used to describe intentionally provocative actions outside of an online context. For example, recent media accounts have used the term troll to describe "a person who defaces internet tribute sites with the aim of causing grief to families."
