    Default price of ammo dropping

Starting to see a trend, hope it continues.

    Lots of advertisements for:

M855 less than $400 per 1K compared to 6 months ago.

even the 100rd bulk pack 12ga shells at wollyword dropped by $2.

Just wish the price of reloading components, would drop too.

Well there is no accounting for some retailers, though I did see they had 55gr .223 American Eagle for $29.99 per 100rds.

That price is certainly on par with Internet pricing. You saw that .223 at Gander?

Someone should tell wal-mart too. They had a price hike too. $17.50 is the cheapest I've seen for 40 or 45 9mm went up to. They did have a couple primers for $3.09 per hundred though.

    Wal-mart sells primers?

I've noticed at Wal-mart that different stores will have different brands currently in stock. I guess I'm just trying to say that in some areas, the cheap stuff is always sold out. I'm trying to remember if I've seen .40 for cheaper than $17 at Wally World yet.

I thought Gander was competitively priced on self defense ammo, but it's hard for me to tell because I've purchased exactly two boxes of self defense ammo in my life.

Sportsman's has PMC .223 for $7 a box. Used to be $9. And reloading stock is more prevalent but prices aren't coming down yet. I mostly roll my own though.

The fountain wal mart has primers and some reloading stuff too. They are the only one I know of though. They have red dot, unique , imr4350 and a few other powders too.

Live a bit from C-Springs and stopped by Big R to get some shotgun primers.
They wanted $5.00 per hundred or $50/1000!!

Took the trip into town to Sportsman's Warehouse and bought them for $36/1000

Now to find somewhere to get Hodgdon's Clays #4 and magnum shot at a decent price.
Last time I had to buy these things I paid $25/1000 primers, $36 for 4#'s of Clays, 25#'s of shot was $19 and Remington wads were $5/500.

All in all I was making premium shotgun shells for about $80/1000 or $4/box... those days are OVER!!

Big R has the Clays powder at $24/lb, but I can't spend that kinda dough when I load 2-3000 at a time. It almost doesn't make financial sense to reload if you buy stuff at Big R.

Here's the best part.... Big R guarantees lowest pricing!!
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.
