If the need would arise to Bug I think we would sit tight at least for a couple of days. If SHTF the roads would be a mess and the thugs would be in full predatory mode. Why not let things settle a bit and see what pans out. Short of a total collapse of society I think any unrest would fade quickly and things would settle down.

Well put and I agree. I would maybe try to bounce out a bit quicker if "they" started shipping people off to FEMA camps. Yeah yeah, I said it. Call me paranoid . . . . .

I have potential places, that we'd have to share with 45 other family members. :/

I've got gear although it needs to be organized better. My exit plan and place to go need work. I may be Red Dawn'ing it. In all seriousness though I do need to work on my overall bug out plan.

I wonder how the Army would feel about people bugging in to Ft. Carson. They've got a lot of land down south. Guess it depends on what happens.

My place is probably as defensible as most any other on the off chance that's needed. Access is fairly restricted and easily monitored. I answered "No" to the poll question but we are prepared to leave - for the most part - in case of a fire. That's our biggest worry at the moment.

We have ample food and other necessities and an underground water supply (well). Our well has a hand pump on it, too. We also have a generator that will run most anything and a full 1000 gal propane tank.

We'd probably just "bug in" here with a few other close friends if required.

Id stay put for up-to a month, otherwise its bugging out time to the predetermined mountain location. I really need 4X4 !!!
