If everyone freaks out and starts another panic buying frenzy then yeah, prices will go up.
But if not....
BOOO. I can only afford a box or two at a time... If it gets too much more expensive... I'm screwed.
Apparently the ammo ban part is off the table, but they're still considering banning lead fishing weights.
AP story here
All my lead fishing weights are copper jacketed.
"There are no finger prints under water."
If they ban lead only outlaws will have it... black market lead for sale.
massive amounts of robberies at discount tire, sears, costco and car dealerships where large quantities of lead weights used for balancing tires are kept in stockpiles.
you will see people with stickers of crossing fishing rods X'ing out EPA. major backlash will ensue!
or maybe they will just make some out of a different material or allow them to be coated with copper or tungsten or steel!
California banned lead wheel weights and I guess everyone hates them because they like to fly off and hit other cars all the time.
"There are no finger prints under water."
this will lead to an increase in bismuth prices.
which will lead to an increase in Pepto Bismol prices.
nothing good can come of this.
