Just getting my safe shipped to me finally from Alaska. I have a bunch of ammo and the shipping company said that they can't ship that with my guns and safe. Anyone know how to get that here? This may be a dumb question, but I am stumped.

UPS ground, marked ORM-D (small arms ammunition). Should not be a hazmat unless they're tracers. Loaded ammo may not be sent through US Mail.

sell it to someone there and buy new here?
Road trip?
Good luck with this one.

sold my 30-06 to a man in Ak, could not ship the ammo.
You'd have to research this one, too- Canada limits you to 200 rounds, or 1500 for a shooting competition, and you'll probably have to fill out some paperwork...
One would have to check with the ferry service that goes from AK to Seattle (or other port on the left coast) to see if they allow transport of ammo.
I'd say the sell it to someone in AK & re-buy is a better option (frequently is with lots of things when going to/from AK- many things are worth more $$ up there, and you'll be able to buy it for less down here)
