    I, er, uhh
    I've been using steel fishing weights for years.

    I am not saying there should be a Ban, Just saying that I fish is a reservoir.
    You know, that place where our drinking water comes from.
    I know it gets treated first and everything, but it just makes sense to me and it cost me nothing extra.

    The EPA denied the request to ban lead bullets. I would expect it to come back again someday.

    Last several sets of tires that I've bought, have had steel wheel weights used. Most of the fishing weights on the shelf now are steel. I had to hunt for lead ones a few weeks ago. Steel fishing weights suck, the'ye hard on your line. I'm glad there a lot of lead in car batteries, I've got a small "stockpile" of those. Just need to find a splitshot mould.
