Default where to move near denver CO?

Hi everyone, new guy here and was looking for suggestions on where to move within colorado. I may be moving to the denver area, DTC more specifically. I've read a few comments about gun laws in different counties and wanted to get some suggestions on where to move.

Just to have a little info on who I am, I'm a 28 year old guy that loves his guns and sports. I first started looking into living near coors field, which I'm very interested in. I'll be working in the DTC area but don't mind the commute (unless someone has any reasons not to commute).

Any specific counties I should stay away from that might cause me trouble with my ARs? Any suggested counties to stay in?

    Thanks in advance!

    Welcome...

Denver County has an AWB that makes a rifle with a high capacity mag(over 20) illegal. Add the extra taxes and all the problems and I would stay clear of Denver.

Just my 2 cents from an old guy with kids.

I think traffic into and out of downtown area would be a nightmare going to and from the DTC.

Plus I don't think that area near Coors Field is all that it is cracked up to be. More crime happens there than the news will let on. Plus with Denver's extra gun restrictions I would choose to live somewhere else (which I do). There are great places in all the surrounding counties, Adams, Arapahoe, Douglas, and Jefferson.

Welcome - I'd check out the area to the south of the DTC. One good reason is that you won't have to commute through Denver to get home.
I much prefer the near-south area (down to maybe Monument) along I-25 due to the more open spaces found between the communities there.
Compare it to the same distance to the north (from Denver) and you'll find those FAR more cluttered. You'd have to travel a lot farther to get
close to the same type of settings.

Castle Rock is nice. I have a few friends who love living there, and it's about 30 minutes from downtown Denver (with good traffic).

My wife and I used to work near the DTC and we looked at Parker.

Never lived there, so grain of salt, but it looked real nice and the drive to the DTC was EASY. I would stay out of Denver proper, too much to deal with, and we live here for the outdoors, not the big city!

I-25 CONSTRUCTION AT ALAEMDA/SANTAFE will be a multi year project and is about in the middle between LoDo and DTC. look south, and be happy on your commute.

    I lived/worked in DTC for a bit.

Live in DTC to start, or centennial, parker, lone tree, Very south aurora. Sign as short of lease as you can then explore the area in your spare time.

Stay out of denver proper other than visiting.

The light rail goes straight from DTC/centennial and to coors feild with one bus. Better than a DUI.

Coors feild area is full of crime, as is downtown in general. There's also a downtown living surcharge on your rent.

My office is in DTC, and I live 5 minutes away in DTC. Traffic can be real bad if you are a 7-5 guy. Downtown would be a poor choice IMHO.
