Any idea how it started yet? I just figured some irresponsible townie started it while on their vacation.

My family and I loaded the truck yesterday to go to the Boulder Hometown Fair at the creek. We hit the road about 11:25 and saw the smoke. At the time there was no wind and the plume just rose almost straight up with some easterly movement. Downtown Boulder was not smokey but it was a bit dark. We did our best to distract the kids and let them play on the rides but by 1pm the Fire trucks were going by about once every 10 minutes full lights and sirens. We saw trucks from all over and thought we even saw Denver markings. At 1:15pm it was time to leave as men were walking around with Bullhorns asking people to move their cars from the municipal lot at the court house as it was going to be used as a staging area.

We called to offer help but it looked like the fine men and women of Boulder already beat us to it.

My thoughts and prayers to all those affected by this horrible fire.

Took the dog outside this morning at 5:30am and the smell of smoke is thick in the air.

    I had the same thoughts.
Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to Fight, he'll just kill you.
