U-2 cockpit photograph checking out the first Chinese Balloon. Great picture, just wonder if it's real, note the shadow of the U-2 on the balloon!
So the black things are solar panels?
Obviously made for long term endurance?

The picture was taken from a press release today. I had heard that they sent a U-2 up to check the thing out. It would be great to see some data like Altitude, Time and Airspeed. Nice picture!
It looks like we can see the curvature of the earth in the picture, so yeah, cool picture, but also scary, when you realize those are likely huge solar panels, under a huge balloon, supporting xyz payload.
