Default Are you on a higher alert status on 9-11???

As the title suggests, do you increase your alert status on 9-11?
I am and my wife and I will have a few hundred extra 5.56 rounds with us at all times tomorrow along with a couple hundred for our pistols on top of 10 loaded mags for each of our ARs.

Do any of you think I am paranoid or do you go on a better alert status and are extra preparewd on the anniversary?

I can't imagine what kind of terrorist attack would occur where a ton of ammo would help you out. Not with these kinds of terrorists anyway. None of that would have made a difference 9 years ago for example.

I'm not saying you're incorrect for being on high alert, just question the need for so much ammo. Don't get pulled over and become a suspect or anything.

I am loaded mainly for the aftermath of civil unrest if a terrorist attack does happen.
ALso I plan on staying home with the kids and wife.

I am always a little bit prepared for bad things. I've got MAYBE 500 rounds total for all my guns, bout two weeks worth of food if I eat once a day, couple cases of water etc......

But I see no reason to be extra prepared on 9/11, it is a day to honor our fallen heroes and innocents, remember THEY want you to live in fear. God bless the good people who lost their lives on that horrible day.

Oh and BTW just because I don't dosent mean your crazy, hell I'm probably crazy for not stocking up on ammo, I gotta get a reloader........

Systemically, Al-Quada has shown that anniversaries and significant dates mean nothing to them in correlation to attacks. This is fairly true of all of the Sunni based terrorist organizations that have cropped up around the world as al-quada franchised and broke apart into little separate pieces. The same cannot be said for Shia based terrorist organizations, but they only show a date propensity for incidents where they are clashing with the Sunnis.

Domestic terrorism and many of the older and now defunct European terrorist organizations/groups, on the other hand, have shown a clear and concise opposite feeling toward date centric actions. The biggest example of this was the Oklahoma City bombing on 19 April, the anniversary of the Branch Dividian Compound raid. There are a butt load of other significant occurances in the week around 19 April too. I always got edgy that week when I was a Fed, and still do.
Mom's comin' 'round to put it back the way it ought to be.

Anyone that thinks war is good is ignorant. Anyone that thinks war isn't needed is stupid.
