Thread: New to AR's

  1. #1

    Default New to AR's

    From the Denver Metro (Lakewood)

Just picked up my first AR, most of my experience is with pistols, 10/22, and mini-14. Figured this was good step to take for a target shooter.

Bought it from RAR Guns, specs are:
LMT Forged Upper with Forward Assist
    Spikes Tactical Forged Lower
    Wilson Arms 16.0 Barrel 1:9
M4 Hand Guard with Double Heat Shields
M4 Six Position Collapsible Stock with Sling Attachment
    MagPul MBUS Flip-Up Rear Sight
A2 Forged Front Sight with Bayonet Lug and Sling Attachment
    A2 Flash Hider
    M4 Battle Grip
End Plate with Single Point Attachment

Sadly found out the hard way the only local rifle range I was aware of (GMFS) is closed until further notice. So I have not been able to shoot it yet. Any suggestions on where I can go locally to shoot?

    Welcome to the forum.

This forum has a monthly shoot, if you want to shoot it.

not that.. i think the magpul rear sight is a bit off on the rail. Are you going to pimp that gun out in the future ? The reason i like Ar because you can pimp them out and it still looks sexy.

Do you mean its to far forward? I placed with the idea that it can be folded down and not interrupt the usage of the charge handle. But I am a newb so any advice is welcome.
