    Default close call

So i was about to get off work when im siiting in the office and a call comes in for a rattle snake in a house, All the techs are already off so i say ill go get it. All the snake equipment is in another techs truck so i have to do my best not to get bit.
Well i get to the house and its the smallest snake ive ever seen. shaking its tail like a rattler even the marking are similar. hes coiled up and striking at me everytime i get close. turns out to be a gopher snake, after i pick it up it calms down and hes the cuteist little thing hahah

Thanks for saving the snake. Did you return him to his home?

I had always heard of kids catching Bull snakes when growing up, but I've only ever seen, I think, 3 different kinds of wild snakes here. Garder snakes, rattlers, and whatever that other one was. I once caught a snake that was about 4 feet long. I just assumed it was a bull snake, but I think it could have been a Gopher snake. I came across a similarly sized snake once a few years ago when I was running, but he was way too pissed for me to pick him up and I don't know what he was. I'm curious and am going to look up how many local snakes there are now. I LOVE snakes, but never see anything but Garder snakes.
