    Friggin WONDERFUL Food.
    Great service
probably one of the most understated restaurants in the Denver area.
I recommend going in "off-rush" times as it gets full and quick.

I first need to start off by telling you that I'm a Kansas City (Missouri) boy who grew up with great BBQ and was practically teethed with a rib bone. As such, I am a BBQ snob! Sure, there are many different ways of preparing BBQ but, in my opinion, only 1 great way - the KC BBQ way. Look, when you eat ribs, if you're not wearing as much sauce on your face as you're actually consuming, then it can't possibly be good BBQ. Excellent BBQ has to be smoked and swimming in a tomato & brown sugar/molasses based sauce (think KC Masterpiece).

With all that said, I've searched high & low for good BBQ in Colorado and have been disappointed more often than not. There USED to be a good place in Colo Spr, but not anymore. I've only found 2 companies (3 locations) in Colorado that I've been able to enjoy their product:

    (1) Smokin' Dave's BBQ & Tap House (Estes Park, CO)
    http://www.smokindavesbbqandtaphouse.com/
Wonderful BBQ, very good serving sizes (even for a pig like me), and good prices.
The draw-back to Smokin Dave's is their single CO location. I can't drive to Estes Park every time I want to enjoy fine BBQ.

    (2) Hickory House Ribs (Parker, CO & Aspen, CO)
    http://www.hickoryhouseribs.com/index.html
OMG! This has got to be the absolute best BBQ this side of the Kansas plains. They're even set up in 2 locations so I can get my fix with just an hour drive instead of having to pack for the trip. You'll be tempted to simply call them "Hickory House", but it seems that there is already a "Hickory House" in Lamar, CO (haven't checked them out - yet). Their prices are good and their serving sizes have me rolling out of the store with a doggy-bag (okay, it's now a styro container) every time.
If you are truly a glutton for punishment, try "The Feast". Even with 3 hearty eaters you'll probably be taking food home with you (definitely if you only have 2 eaters).

I feel the same way. Most places are very average here in CO. However, I know of a couple good ones in Santa Fe!

If you guys know of any good places that sell pie speak up. I hear Great Scott's is pretty good but haven't made it there yet. Pie is my weakness.

Las Delicias is my 3 O clock lunch place they get my in and out pretty quick. They are closer to my work and can usually do it under 1hr if I'm trying. There are somethings I like at Delicias more then Arcos but chicken chimi's are not one of them.
