The people who were from out of town backed out just before closing. Everything was done we were just waiting to close. All the inspections, appraisals, remedies ect..... The couple put a contract on the house a month ago from Texas. Just looked at pictures. They called up the day before the Moving sale Saturday and insisted they see the house in two hours. After a mad scrabble to clean the house they walked through. They did loose thier $2000 deposit and almost another 1k in costs. So now I sit here on my folding table (sold my desk) ready to start over. At least I get to go on the Antelope hunt this weekend instead of moving. 4gunfun

There are some things I miss about Texas, but I don't want to move back. I'm becoming quite partial of the beautiful mountains, the fluffy white stuff that falls from the sky, and I'm starting to feel halfway "established" here with some family and friends... Now if I could just find a job with benefits in my feild, I think I'd be halfway to heaven.


+1 on upping the earnest money. Did they give a reason for backing out?

Hopefully they didn't have some kind of family emergency or something.
